BIOGRAPHY
Since receiving his first award from the Philadelphia Youth Arts League in 1962 having work exhibited at the Commercial Museum of Philadelphia at the age of 12, David has indulged his passion for the visual arts through photography, video production and computer-based art.
David is a graduate of the School of Visual Arts in New York where he received his MFA in Photography Video and Related Media and his Masters in Professional Studies in Digital Photography. During his studies at the School of Visual Arts David focused on the representation of sexual minorities. This was an extension of his involvement with the LBGTQ community in Philadelphia for several years.
David has pursued Doctoral studies in Human Sexuality at the University of Pennsylvania in the early 1980s and has studied experimental video, Media and Queer Studies at the New School University in New York.
David was selected as a Top 50 Artist by Photolucida’s 2020 Critical Mass competition. David’s portfolio from his Through The Looking Glass project will be highlighted by Float Photo Magazine beginning December 8, 2020.
